New Gillette 2-Pack

By Pauline Gaudillat on September 11, 2019 13:44 Call for entries 0

Help Latin Americans get more smooth shaves by buying the new 2-pack!

In Latin America, and especially in Brazil, people have done most of their shopping at super & hyper markets. This usually meant a monthly or bi-weekly trip when they literally filled up the entire trolley, and the car!

However, in recent years, the monthly supermarket trip is perceived as more of a chore than a fun outing. At smaller shops, usually in urban and suburban town centres, items might be a bit more expensive than at the biggest of the supermarkets, but these stores are gaining more and more customers because people like shopping close to home, whenever they want or need to, and because it’s a quick shopping trip!

Gillette, the leader in men’s disposable razors is looking for a creative idea to help nudge people into buying a small 2-pack when they shop at small neighborhood stores, so they can always have an extra new blade in the bathroom and, with that, a better shaving experience. Can you help?

Positivity through energy

By daniaalsabbagh on September 09, 2019 15:05 Call for entries 0

Bring to life the virtuous circle of energy & positivity for Berocca’s next campaign!

Most of us don’t have the energy levels we wish we had. We all get through the day, for sure. But, how do we perform throughout the day? Do we have the energy to multi-task from home, to work, to home and still have the energy to get in a some me-time? Is it the mad rush that gets the best of us? Or perhaps a lack of focus when we need it most? Or do we feel we’re doing OK - tackling one thing at a time, but that we are simply not doing our best?

Berocca knows that “feeling your best” can be elusive, but it believes that it’s within everyone’s reach, if one wants it. Berocca is an energy supplement that combines a specially formulated mix of vitamins & minerals to give people the energy they need,  a sustainable edge. Berocca is a Clinically Proven formulation (the competitors are not), it improves focus and concentration, increases mental performance & memory and improves physical stamina.  It makes a real difference every day – helping people maintain physical and mental energy. And, with regular every day use, a virtuous circle sets in whereby broad based energy leads to a positive mindset, and a positive mindset positively affects energy levels.

Australians have been using Berocca as a recovery product to prevent a hangover or as a energy boost to help them feel better when they were ‘hung-over’ after a big night, for many years, leading to a strong association wih the hangover occasions. However while Berocca delivers in this energy need situation, the brand can help across many more energy occasions. When people feel energised people feel better, more positive, and they can make the most of every day. Can you help create the need for Berocca by expanding people’s perception of the brand into energy by developing a new creative idea for a future campaign in Australia?

Come up with an engaging solution for adult smokers to get rid of their cigarette butts by proposing a Do It Yourself (DIY) ashtray.

By daniaalsabbagh on September 06, 2019 16:00 Call for entries 0

Invent a “Do It Yourself” ashtray /a creative solution to help adult smokers dispose of their cigarette butts when there is no bin around!

Marc is heading to work, smoking a cigarette and then he thinks “I need to find a bin to throw my butt away”. “Oh, wait, there is not bin here… Never mind, I’ll just throw it on the ground, it’s very small!” When Marc is holding his cigarette butt and there is no bin, he panics and doesn’t know what to do with it and unfortunately, just throws it on the ground. He could have gone through many questions before throwing the butt: will this small butt pollute my environment? What is the impact of my small butt on water or the oceans? How much time will it take for this small butt to break up?

Tens of thousands of cigarette butts are littered every second. This waste reduces our ability to enjoy our local environment, but also our quality of life, that’s why we need to combat littering with very simple gestures!

Our client, believes that in order for our world to stay as beautiful as it is, we need to reduce the amount of litter, especially the one created by cigarette butts. That’s why we need your creativity to help adult smokers find a way to get rid of their cigarette butts when they don’t have an ashtray and there is no bin in sight. Can you help them do this?

Meet our Creator of the Month - conceptionredaction!

By Pauline Gaudillat on September 03, 2019 12:00 Featured Authors 0

This week, we are delighted to present one of our greatest creators: conceptionredaction! This creative French person has many things to share...

As an introduction, is there a quote you like to follow as your mantra?

Living in Australia and being a surfer leads you to follow one obvious mantra: “Go with the flow”!

Tell us a bit more about yourself…

So, I’ll start by this: English is not my first language, so please bear with me hahaha!

I studied Art in France for 4 years and then Communication in Belgium for 4 more years. Then I started working as a creative copywriter in Paris, Geneva, Montreal, Paris again, then I moved to Melbourne 6 years ago. There, I went back to school to study furniture design and started a small business: http://ateliercayelle.com. Since then, I’m living between Melbourne and Paris, alternating between product design and a freelance contract in advertising: https://mariecopywriter.com/.

You’re French and you live in Australia: can you tell us more about it?

Australia was a real “coup de coeur” for me: landscapes, fauna, lifestyle… I spent a month there on holiday and I knew straight away that I wanted to stay. I wasn’t speaking English at that time (and I am still learning) so the move was not completely smooth… It took a lot of compromise as I could not work as a copywriter there … but I still loved my job … and that’s when eyeka happened!

How did you find out about eyeka?

I was studying English full time, and Furniture Design on top of that, but after 2 years, my English started to be good enough that I could share ideas and concepts. I started looking for advertising competitions on google, as I wanted to go back to copywriting and idea generation. I found an eyeka competition and entered it - that’s how it all started. Now I participate mostly when I am in Australia, designing products. However, if a brief is really appealing to me and I am in an advertising agency, I will still do it, on the side, at the weekends.

Do you have a creative process? Where do you look for inspiration?

For me, the easiest way to go is to let it sink into the back of my mind. I read the brief, do a bit of research and then I get on with my life. I surf, I go to work, I do yoga, I do my grocery shopping … until something happens that makes me think: “Wait, that would be great…” That’s when I go back to the computer again.

So, inspiration is everywhere, really.

When submitting an entry, how do you keep positive if it is rejected or not selected as a winner?

I only enter briefs that are fun for me to do. So, the process of submitting an entry is not 100% about winning. Sure, it’s good to be rewarded, but an idea is always really subjective. A client might love it, another one might hate it… And the next brief is always another chance.

Also, I found that each brief is really insightful in terms of what the brands are looking for, which target audience they are trying to reach and why… All that leads me to do some research that is then really useful in my other work as a designer or as a copywriter.

What would you like to achieve with the prizes you win?

Winning allows me to spend more time designing products. When I have a bit more cash, I am less in a rush to find the next contract, and I can slow down the pace a bit.

If you had to describe eyeka in 3 words, what would they be?

Playful, Addictive and Insightful.

Finally, is there anything you would like to share with our creators?

I bought my latest surfboard thanks to eyeka hahaha!

Thank you Marie!
